Challenges

The client’s need was to enlarge the European development office to improve communication between the SCRUM teams. At that time they had difficulty interacting with Asian teams, due to massive time zone as well as cultural differences. The team was faced with the task of ensuring effective communication and integrating into the client’s existing development process as quickly as possible.

Difficulties at the beginning of work were exacerbated by the presence of tons of legacy non-optimized code and complex business workflows.

  • Migrate legacy.Net MVC solution to .Net Core and Angular SPA
  • Architecture design
  • Development of new features (TDD)
  • Manual testing
  • Test automation
  • Tier III support

Results

  • During the first month, the team was able to integrate into the development cycle.
  • Since the third sprint, the team’s velocities have leveled off against other European teams. 
  • The performance review of the team based on the results of the first year of work did not show any critical problems in the team’s work.
  • At the request of the client, one of the Manual QA involved in the project was replaced by a TA engineer.
